I’m Marco Tormen, coming from Voltago Agordino, born on 14/03/1997 and currently racing in kz2 under FD motors, supported by Praga Kart. This year I’m going to compete in the WSK Champions Cup, the Cik-Fia European Championship, and the Cik-Fia International Super Cup. Today I'm telling you about my most important win in Kz2 in 2019. It was the second race of the Italian Karting League and it took place at Siena international track.

Me and FD Motors started the weekend as the fastest during free practice. On Friday night, during qualifications, we couldn’t uphold our lap times and we ended up in P11.

On Saturday morning, throughout the first round I recovered until the fourth place; to climb some other positions was the target for the second round, but due to a bad start I lost some places. Despite that, I managed to catch up again, even if I wasn’t at my best for Race 1, scheduled on Sunday.

All set for the race: I launched from the eighth place, but again a bit of anxiety caused me the loss of some positions. So I focused and I tried to give my best to retrieve as much as possible, ending the race in P5. During lunch break, Jorge Pescador, former official Praga pilot, gave me some important piece of advice, that still helps me today. So I had a great start in Race 2 and I gained the third position, then I battled with other competitors and halfway through the race I was leading!

Since then I didn’t give up a single centimetre, cause I wanted to bring home that win really bad and I did! This win was really meaningful for me because it kinda repaid all my effort and the people who believed in me!
